21 people who were riding on the famous Big Dipper at Blackpool Pleasure Beach were injured in an accident last Tuesday.

The collision left passengers with a variety of injuries like broken bones, back and neck injuries and whiplash “ 3 of the passengers were reported to be seriously injured but their condition was not thought to be life threatening. The passengers were taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

The accident is being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive and there are likely to be accident claims as a result. The use of the Big Dipper has been suspended whilst the investigation takes place and until it has been declared fully safe
