The Accident
The client contacted us with a hairdresser claim.
The client suffered severe burns and hair loss after an accident at a hairdresser occurred using bleach that was not initially patch tested.
The client visited a hairdresser to get their roots touched up. The salon had never been visited before by the client, and no patch was done before the colouring procedure.
Bleach was applied and the client immediately felt a burning sensation and so the bleach was washed off. To get the desired look the hairdresser recommended a short bleach of 5 minutes duration. The client agreed but was then left unattended for 30 minutes by which time the client had suffered unnecessary pain and suffering.
Injuries
The client suffered a severely bleached and burnt scalp with blistering and hair loss.
Case Resolution
Our client was represented by case handler Hayley Bird. Hayley worked hard to recover compensation for the clients’ injuries and losses such as loss of earnings and expenses.
The claim was settled in January 2022 for £4,000.
