If you are involved in an accident with a taxi you should try to get as much evidence as possible to support your compensation claim. This may include:

1. Take photographs of the scene of the accident and your injuries.
2. Get the driver’s details and anyone else involved in the accident.
3. Get the details of any witnesses present at the scene.
4. See a doctor about any injuries, even if you feel that you do not need to.

What To Do After A Road Accident

A road traffic accident can be a highly traumatic experience. Whilst you may be disorientated and in a state of shock in the moments after an accident, if you can do some of the steps listed below, it will further strengthen your case.

• Assess your injuries - This takes immediate priority, you must seek emergency medical help if required.
• Take Photos - Try to capture as many angles of the scene of the accident along with the surrounding area.  The photographs should also show both your taxi and any other vehicles involved.
• Speak to witnesses - Ask if they are willing to provide witness statements and ask for their contact details

• Check surrounding video footage - It’s worth checking for any video footage to see if any of the cameras in the area captured the accident.
