A trip to Asda
Our client was shopping in a branch of Asda. One of the stores' fridges was leaking and was in the process of being fixed by engineers. the engineers had put down bags to absorb the leaking water. At the time of the shopping, no engineers were present and the bags had been left on the floor. No signage had been put up to warn about the hazard, and the area had not been blocked off. The bags that had been put down to absorb the water from the leaking fridge had split causing leakage of slushy, ice fluids onto the floor. Our client slipped on the contents, causing a fall.
Injuries Suffered
The client suffered ongoing pain and swelling to areas of the body and was unable to carry out day-to-day activities without assistance for some time.
Case Resolution
Our client was represented by case handler Jillian Roach. Jillian worked hard to recover compensation for the clients’ injuries and the clients’ losses. The claim was settled in January 2022 for £4,200. Of their experience in claiming with us, the client said she had received an ‘excellent professional service’.
